I've known Braedon, who's also a photographer, for a few years now, we met at Jon Canlas' FIND workshop in San Diego (which was amazing!) and have been friends ever since. I photographed him and Lindsay once before and was delighted to be able to shoot their beautiful boys too this time... I really love Lindsay's fashion - the greys, blacks, whites and earth tones are gorgeous! Can't wait for their next little one to join the family! Congratulations friends! I adore shooting in Santa Barbara. These images were for a recent one-on-one workshop for a photographer all the way from Florida! Beautiful Shannon and Jason flew in from Colorado to model for the workshop, so sweet! Dress: SarahJanks.com; Florals: FromYouFlowers.com (Lilies tied together by hand with maidenhair fern); Bowtie: Boutaugh.com; Hair & Makeup: JessWilcoxHairandMakeup.com. See more details from this shoot published on 100 Layer Cake.
The one year anniversary of these two love birds provided the perfect occasion for this shoot, which was a lovely part of a one-on-one workshop in Santa Barbara this fall. Amy wore a Jenny Packham gown, and a hand-tied bouquet of lavender from my garden, and changed into a beautiful blue Anthropologie.com silk dress halfway through... Patrick was so dapper in his bow tie by Boutaugh.com. Gorgeous hair & makeup by JessWilcoxHairandMakeup.com; I particularly love the loose up do and angelic makeup paired with Amy's carefree nature and bare feet!
This is what the holidays look like in my home, although maybe not quite as picture perfect - the camera hides the mess! This year I've been decorating with herbs and cypress branches, keeping packages neat and tidy with kitchen twine and newsprint. It's amazing how simple items can look so beautiful! As the end of the year approaches, a few lucky clients will receive their wedding albums (by NeveAlbums.com) and the workshop studio is busy mailing out my book to the fans who have already ordered - thanks for a brilliant year, happy holidays from me to you!
Treasured photographs from one of the oldest countries in the world - China. It is both wondrous and challenging to navigate, and yet I love it so... These are scenes from a recent trip to Sichuan (specifically Bei Bei, Chengdu & Chongqing), Guilin & Hong Kong. Shot on Fuji Film, processed by RichardPhotoLab.com.
